La Chata Ranch tour   7:00 am

A tour of La Chata Ranch is a repeat due to the grand experience it offers it's guests.  The winding senderos lead you to a nature extravaganza of wildlife viewing.  This tour is anything from a birding tour, to a wildlife tour, to a heritage tour.  Among the wildlife are attox, nilgai, and even ostriches that may be spotted throughout the ranchland.  Guides will tour guests to the spots on the ranch that will be of particular interest and share some of the interesting history of the ranch.  A cowboy breakfast will be enjoyed by the tour guests.                                             FEE: $35.00 per guest

Corbett ranch tour     7:30 am

The Corbett Ranch….. The Corbett Ranch is located west of Raymondville and  extends to the Salt Lakes giving endless opportunities for wildlife viewing including an array of shore birds.  Located on a rise at the highest point of Willacy County, festival guests are in for an unusual treat with the birding and wildlife viewing that will be made available to them as they visit the ranch hunting lodge and witness a beautiful view of the lake. The Corbett Ranch is located the highest point of Willacy County, making this tour one of great interest.                                             FEE: $25.00 per guest

 Salt Lakes tour     4:00 pm 

Salt Lakes ….. located west of Raymondville.  These South Texas salt lakes have played a prominent role in the history of South Texas, and have attracted people to the area for centuries. These lakes were a valuable source of salt for native people, Spanish explorers and western pioneers.  Managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, birdwatchers from around the world visit the lakes to view the diversity of wildlife and rare species. This site has been nominated as a Site of International Significance for shorebirds due to the population of the long-billed curlews. Under the direction of guides that know all about this are, this tour highlights a view that is not seen anywhere but here.  This is a hiking tour.                                                                                     FEE: $20.00 per guest

Rancho Cruz Verde trail ride       7:30 am

Located North of Raymondville this tour will offer an opportunity to see wildlife such as deer, armadillo, javaline, turkey, and more on horseback.  Trail riders will meet at the gate of the Cruz Verde Ranch located north of Raymondville off Business 77.  Trail riders have the option to camp out Friday night at the ranch gate before the ride Saturday.  The ride will go through the ranch and will end at the Wild in Willacy Boot Fest at the Willacy County Livestock Show Grounds.  You must bring your own horse.                                                                            FEE:$15.00 per rider/non-rider
